Let me tell you about my day.

Since it's Monday, my alarm goes off at 4:12 in the morning. Yes, 4:12 (I hate it - you don't have to tell me anything.) It's because I take the train to work on Mondays, so I need to leave home at 5:00 in order to catch the 5:25 train (instead of leaving home at 5:30 to catch my carpool at 5:45.)

After a snooze, I have just enough time to take a shower, get dressed, take care of the dogs, make coffee, make a protein shake, and pack my stuff up. (If I only snooze once, I have enough time to wash my dishes.)

Well, this morning, during the shaking up of said protein shake, I had a catastrophe. For some reason, I didn't check the spout lid on the shaker bottle. Yes, chaos ensued.

Vanilla protein shake went EVERYWHERE. And I do mean everywhere because of how I was shaking the shaker. Shake went into my eye which caused it to turn bright red and angry and watery. Shake went on the floor, ceiling, cupboards, coffee maker, dish drainer, stove, tea kettle, some more cupboards, and me.

I even found out later that some got onto Olive.

Well, there I am, on the train, trying to read, with a red, watery, painful eye, and since I have this habit of rubbing my head quite often, I notice that I have this hard crusty stuff on my head that is flaking off. And I realize that I have dried shake on my head. I didn't even think about my head, I wiped my chest and shoulders and face off, and tried to clean the kitchen in less than two minutes, and totally forgot about my head.

So yeah, that's how my day started.

My day ended with a nice four-mile run (non-stop!) at the gym, and then 30 pushups. And now I'm eating some yogurt.

In-between I had my boss drive me crazy, I ate some pistachios, and read some kind words from a stranger (which actually helped my day out quite a bit - thank you.) (Some other things, but that'll go behind a pad lock . . .)
