ScubaJason [userpic]

After taking the last two days off from the gym (Sunday was planned - Monday was because it took me 2.5 hours to drive home and upon my arrival home, I had to move a pretty good sized tree limb from blocking the driveway. We had a pretty good storm blow in yesterday.) I returned to my running ways.

Back in the old days, I used a product called Body Glide that helped prevent chafing, specially in the nipple areas. But it stained all of my running shirts (damn you petroleum based products!) So now that I’m back to running I needed another option.

The thing I’ve found - and it works well - are bandaids. One bandaid - you cut the padded part off and throw away - works for both nipples.

Sometimes I don’t use them based on how I’m feeling and how long (well short) my run is going to be. No idea why, but I didn’t wear them today.

I busted out a 5.26 mile run in 60:00 minutes and at the end I noticed the blood.

Yeah. I was that guy tonight.

Lesson learned.
